Parents Morning Out

Tracy Hodgin is a graduate of both the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.S. in Biology and the Presbyterian Hospital School of MedicalTechnology.  After working in hospital laboratories, she made the decision to join St. Paul’s Preschool, and has been in the PMO classroom since 2012.  Tracy took over as the lead teacher in our PMO class in 2023. She and her husband, Joey, have a daughter, Kaitlyn.

FullSizeRender-preview 5Ashley Wildenmann attended St. Paul’s Preschool as a child and loved it so much that she decided to send her daughter to school there as well. She attended East Carolina University, and was self employed fixing up and refurbishing furniture prior to starting as the assistant in the PMO room. Ashley loves volunteering with animals, which included a wolf sanctuary in Black Mountain, Saving Grace for felines, and the Humane Society. Ashley also has two amazing stepdaughters. Her hobbies include playing the piano, listening to music, playing chess, and weight training.

Two Year Olds

IMG_1375After being a substitute teacher at St Paul’s while her children attended, Lauren is excited to become the lead teacher in the two year old classroom . Lauren grew up in Northern Virginia,  where she worked in several Preschool settings while studying Special Education. She eventually found herself in ENC with a B.S. degree in Business/Healthcare Management, but never lost her love for working with children. She currently lives in Greenville with her husband, 2 young children and 3 dogs. Lauren and her family love doing anything outdoors, especially spending time at the beach and in the mountains.

IMG_1381Pam Brock joined the St. Paul’s family in 2017.  Pam has her BS from ECU in early childhood education and taught second grade for 30 years.  In retirement, Pam helps with her grandchildren full-time who are now in middle and high school.  Pam married her childhood sweetheart, Clip Brock, and together they have two children and four grandchildren.  St. Paul’s is very excited to have Pam as a teacher in the two year old class!

IMG_1377 Mizell was an assistant in PMO last year and is excited to start helping as an assistant in the two year old class. Robbin has lived in Pitt County for over 20 years. She graduated from Pitt Community College with a Paralegal degree and worked for a few attorneys and then worked at the Pitt County Courthouse criminal clerk’s office for 9 years. She left her job there after the birth of her third child and loved being at stay-at-home mom ever since! She loves spending time with her husband and three children. Robbin favorite time of the year is fall with a fire pit, music, and marshmallows!!!

Three Year Olds

IMG_2396Lisa Norris is excited to be taking over the teacher position in the 3 year old classroom after being the assistant for the past two years. Lisa is a Greenville native who received her associates degree in medical assisting from pitt community college in 2011. She worked as  a CMA at a local medical office before leaving to become a stay at home mom to her 2 daughters. She has been substituting at St. Paul’s Preschool since 2014.

IMG_1365 2Dana Sparks has been involved with St Paul’s Preschool beginning in 2017 when her daughter attended PMO. She enjoyed substituting and is now excited to join the 3yr class as the new assistant.  Dana grew up locally in Stokes, but also lived in Jacksonville, NC and Grapevine, TX as a military wife. Dana and her husband Chris have five children with their younger two attending St. Paul’s, after moving back to the Greenville area. Dana worked with ECU Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and General Peds Clinic in several different positions for 10+ yrs. Her favorite memories at ECU have been volunteering with Camp Rainbow and Camp Hope.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, children and two daughters-in-law. Dana and her family love exploring the Smokey Mountains and lounging at the Outer Banks.

Four Year Olds

IMG_1357Jacque Schacht is excited to be joining St. Paul’s as the lead teacher in the four-year old’s classroom. She has watched her children grow and thrive as students at St. Paul’s and is looking forward to being on the other side of things. Jacque has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Nebraska. Prior to becoming a mom, she taught in California and worked as a Sylvan tutor. Jacque moved to Greenville five years ago with her husband and kids from Utah. She has enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom to her three children the past eleven years. Her kids keep her very busy with all their activities but when she can find some free time, she enjoys making pottery and jewelry.

IMG_6412-previewMeghan Brewer is a dynamic professional with over 15 years of experience in all aspects of the home furnishings and textile industries.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in textile marketing and management from North Carolina State University.  She has held the position of director of design with respected companies in the home furnishing industry.  There, she collaborated and directed design programs for Ralph Lauren Home, Kravet Fabrics, Kate Spade, along with many other.  She loves a challenging project and creating beautiful spaces for her clients. Meghan moved back to Pitt County a few years ago.  Since moving home, she has been assisting in renovating and decorating homes while also helping on her family’s farm, Strawberries on 903. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and three dogs.  We are very active, and especially love to travel.

Director

IMG_2413 2Gretchen Hvastkovs has been with St. Paul’s Preschool since 2014. She started as the lead teacher in the two year old class, but took over as director in 2015. Gretchen grew up in California and attended college in Wyoming. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Wyoming in Family and Consumer Sciences. After college, her family relocated to Connecticut before settling in Greenville in 2008. Gretchen and her husband are very active with their three children.
